Who we are

Caring for seniors in their faith, their culture and their dignity

Senior Muslim Society of Greater Houston (SMSGH) is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization established to provide services to a diverse population of seniors according to their faith and culture. We are proud to be the first 501(c)(3) organization of our kind in Greater Houston and beyond.

Many nursing home facilities in the U.S. are not culturally sensitive. We provide the connection that makes a senior's stay peaceful, and we support families in difficult times as they care for their aging parents and elders.

Our Vision

Empower diverse seniors and caregivers to live their lives with respect, dignity and independence.

Our Mission

Provide programs that meet religious and cultural needs while addressing basic, social, mental, educational and legal needs.

Our services

One purpose: connection and care

From companionship and transport to education and spiritual comfort, our programs meet seniors and caregivers where they are.
